Atmospheric Correction Software for Airborne, Satellite and Drone Imaging
Retrieval of atmospheric gases and atmospheric correction
My expertise is in geometric and atmospheric modeling of radiation in optical remote sensing, as well as the geometric and atmospheric preprocessing of optical remote sensing data. A special focus has been put so far in the processing of airborne and drone hyperspectral imagery.
The original implementation of the ATCOR software was developed by Dr. Rudolf Richter at DLR (German Aerospace Center). I successfully advanced the development of the original ATCOR® atmospheric correction software packages in close collaboration with the inventor, Dr. Rolf Richter.
In the year 2001, I signed an agreement through my company ReSe Applications, still as a sole proprietorship organization, with DLR for the launch to market and the continued development of the software ATCOR. ReSe brought then both to the market, the original implementations of ATCOR-3 for satellite systems and the ATCOR-4 for airborne scanners. In addition, the company reached an agreement with the MODTRAN developers for the use of the radiative transfer code in the own software, which has allowed an adequate distribution of the ReSe software applications in the remote sensing expert’s community.
